The Great Australian Bake Off

The ultimate kitchen battle erupts as 10 contestants have their baking skills put to the test, in the hope of being crowned Australia's Best Home Baker. Hosted by Shane Jacobson and Anna Gare, together with judges Dan Lepard and Kerry Vincent.

Cakes
The competition kicks off with a bake off in which the contestants have to bake their signature lamingtons, a pear and amaretto cake and an ombre cake to impress the judges.
Biscuits
The contestants are tested on their biscuit-baking skills. And lo, some of them turn up with impressive samples, such as blue cheese, garlic and chive biscuits and biscuits themed on famous landmarks.
Pies & Tarts
The remaining contestants are tasked with preparing delicious quiches, pies and tarts. They come up with a mouthwatering spread, which includes bacon and asparagus quiche and beef taco quiche.
Chocolate
The remaining contestants are tested on their ability to make delicious chocolate dishes. They come up with a scrumptious list, which includes cheesecake brownies and chocolate orange slice.
Bread
Contestants still in the race are tasked with making tasty dishes using burger buns, bagels and baguettes. They prepare mouthwatering delicacies, including salmon burgers and blueberry bagels.
Retro
The contestants fighting to retain their place are tasked with preparing retro dishes. They come up with impressive ones such as sticky date Swiss roll and volcanic bombe Alaska.

Pies
The nine remaining bakers face a signature challenge to reinvent the iconic Australian pie, a tantalising Technical Bake of blood orange and chocolate meringue pie, and a Showstopper deep dish fruit pie.
Desserts
The 6 remaining bakers will be challenged to a Signature mouthwatering individual pudding; an Aussie classic will be served up during the Technical challenge and the Showstopper spectacular tiered dessert.
Classics
The remaining 4 bakers take on the classics; doughnuts for the Signature challenge, a passion-filled Technical challenge of Passionfruit Tart, and a High Tea Showstopper that will push them to new heights.
Final
Over 9 weeks, 12 of Australia's finest home bakers undertook a series of baking challenges and now 3 remain. This epic will test the finalists to new limits. Who will be crowned Bake Off champion?
